Order No. 2 Price Information
Minimum Class Price Announcement (PDF)
released by the 5th of the month. Announces the basic formula price (BFP),
butterfat differential, and minimum Class III and III-A prices for the previous month.
Minimum Class I and II prices for the upcoming month also are announced. Class price
information generally is available from this office by 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, on
the day of release.
Uniform
Price Announcement (PDF) released by the 14th of the month.
Announces the minimum uniform price applicable for the previous month. Announcement
includes volume of milk pooled, milk utilization by class, and prior year comparative
statistics.
Mailbox
Prices (html) a data series calculated by the Federal Milk Marketing
Administrator offices representing the net pay price received by dairy farmers for their
milk. The calculation takes into account all payments received for milk sold and all costs
associated with marketing milk. The information reported is intended to be
representative of the entire market.

Market Administrator News and Publications
The
Market Administrator's Bulletin (PDF) a monthly publication issued by the
Market Administrator following the calculation of the uniform price. The Bulletin
presents price information, comparative statistics, maps and charts, along with narrative
discussing dairy issues of regional or national importance. The Bulletin is mailed
to all producers pooled under Order No. 2.
- The
Market Administrator's Quarterly Bulletin (PDF) Published 4 times a year, the
Quarterly Bulletin reports the volume and value of milk produced under the order on a
state and county basis and receipts and utilization of producer milk by class. The
quarterly also periodically summarizes farm statistics, packaged sales figures, or other
recent Order No. 2 related data.
- Intermarket Statistics (PDF) released on the same day as the minimum class price
announcement. Reports for the second previous month the volume of bulk and packaged milk
received in Order No. 2 from other federal milk marketing orders. Bulk and packaged milk
shipments from Order No. 2 plants to other federal order markets also are reported.
- Temporary
Pool Plants (PDF) released on the same day as the uniform price announcement.
Lists plants classified as temporary pool plants, pursuant to Section .28(g) of the order,
whose reported receipts were used in the computation of the prior month's uniform price.
- Plants,
Handlers, and Bulk Tank Units (PDF) an annual publication listing the
names and locations of plants, handlers, and bulk tank units (BTU) associated with Order
No. 2. This publication is based on plant, handler, and BTU data for the month of
December.

- Federal Order No. 2 Statistical Handbook (Excel
tables) A compilation of statistics for the New York-New Jersey Marketing Area beginning
August 1, 1957. The handbook includes data series relevant to the order today along
with most data series that have been operative in the order since August
1957.
